Queen's Jubilee Awards May 2011
The London Federation of Sport had the pleasure of recognising some 280 years of voluntary service to Sport on 25th Feb when it presented awards to a number of volunteers in Central London.
For outstanding volunteers we have the special QUEEN’S JUBILEE AWARD and have held two impressive ceremonies in the Strangers’ Dining Room of the House of Commons. The 20 recipients of these awards have collectively given 938 years of voluntary service to sport in London. We hope that the Awards will encourage others to emulate their service in the years to come.
The awards were presented by Kate Hoey, Mayor's Commissioner for Sport
This evening a further 7 volunteers are to receive the QUEEN’S JUBILEE AWARD.
Between them they have given 370 years of voluntary service to their sport.
